The other day, I was thinking of all the wonderful things I’ve read during my life as a Christian and wished I had a place to keep all of the inspirational quotes and passages I’ve read over the years that have touched my heart. Then it occurred to me… I do have a place for them, right here on my blog! So this week I’m starting a new meme, “Wednesday’s Word,” and I hope that others will jump in and participate. I think it would be a great way for us to encourage and edify one another.
Here is my entry for today:
“My life is but a weaving, between my God and me
I do not choose the colors, He worketh steadily
Ofttimes He weaveth sorrow, and I in foolish pride,
Forget He sees the upper, and I the underside.
Not till the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly
Will God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful in the skillful Weaver’s hand.
As the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned.”
– Corrie Ten Boom
I love her writings! Especially her book The Hiding Place! It is life-changing.
I agree wholeheartedly. Have you read the second book, Tramp for the Lord? It’s incredible.
